Happy 3rd week of Ordinary Time! I hope you are all enjoying this great weather and are staying healthy!
Thank you for all who attended class last week as Helen led our discussion on the 10 Commandments.
Some things that were mentioned in class were the Examination of Conscience based on the 10 Commandments. An examination of conscience is a tool to help you before you go to confession. Here is a link for that Examination of Conscience.
This Wednesday, January 26th at 6:30pm in the Assisi Room we will be discussion the Beatitudes with Matt Nelson. We also have a few new Inquirers who will hear from Helen all about the RCIA process.
Here’s a short video from Bishop Robert Barron to get you thinking about the Beatitudes:
And here is a clip from “The Chosen” where Jesus is sharing the beatitudes with his disciple, Matthew.
We meet for Breaking Open the Word every Sunday at 10am Mass. After the priest’s homily, he will call forward all who are participating in RCIA. He says a blessing over you then dismisses you with one of our team members to meet together and discuss the bible readings that were just read at mass.
It is very helpful if you arrive to mass early so you can sit close to the front. It helps us know who is present and it’s a shorter walk for you when the priest calls you forward.
