Updated Playing by the Rules: A Handbook for CDBG Subrecipients on Administrative Systems Now Available

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grantees often partner with subrecipients to carry out their grant-funded activities. Newly streamlined and reformatted, the updated Playing by the Rules: A Handbook for CDBG Subrecipients on Administrative Systems reflects the Omnibus Circular (2 CFR 200) and other regulatory and administrative changes. This handbook provides guidance to help subrecipients:

  • Understand the basic administrative requirements of the CDBG program
  • Improve the management of program activities through strong business practices
  • Enhance program performance by tracking, reporting, and evaluating program activities and outcomes
  • Ensure accountability and clean audits by documenting compliance with CDBG regulations

As a learning tool, each chapter provides a quiz to test your understanding of the content. As an ongoing resource, this handbook will be a quick reference for information and resources.
