The Board of Supervisors will discuss SDC January 25th TUESDAY at 3PM. Here's what you can do to help:
Have one minute? Sign the Change.org petition to support North Sonoma Valley Municipal Advisory Commission's letter to the Supervisors. Click here to access the petition.
Have five minutes? Write your online comments to the Board of Supervisors before January 25th by clicking here.
Remember to click on the Raise Your Hand icon (usually in the bottom right hand corner of your screen) to get into the queue if you want to make an oral comment. Comments will probably be limited to 1.5 minutes. It works to prepare what you want to say in advance.
Thanks for all you are doing to help preserve this beautiful place in the heart of our Valley!
Agenda:
3:00 PM - Sonoma Developmental Center Specific Plan: Project Description Framework. Discussion of SDC may start later, depending on length of earlier agenda items, but will not start before 3:00pm.
Receive staff presentation and offer comments on the project description framework for Sonoma Developmental Center Specific Plan. (First District)
The public will be allowed to speak after the staff presentation (and initial discussion) and will be limited to one or two minutes; be brief and concise.
The main message supported by the Sonoma Valley community: The current proposal described in the staff report is not acceptable, is completely out of scale. A new and substantially reduced-density alternative is needed!
BE PATIENT – The meeting will be long, but it’s important for as many people as possible to attend AND make comments to show the Board of Supervisors that it’s not just a few disgruntled neighbors who oppose Permit Sonoma's plans for redevelopment of the SDC.
