Movement for Global Mental Health

The Movement for Global Mental Health began with a call to action in 2007, in the first Lancet Commission series on global mental health. Through volunteer collaboration, the Movement has grown to include 200 institutions and 10,000 individuals globally - including activists, health care providers, researchers, and individuals and families affected by mental health programs. The Movement aims to improve mental health and well-being, especially in low- and middle-income countries where effective services are scarce. The Movement is based on scientific evidence and human rights.
