I made you a mix.

Hey, hey! I have a few things to share, starting with a playlist I made of 82 songs from 1982. It's heavy on the New Wave (shocker), but you'll find a little Fleetwood Mac and Conway Twitty thrown in for good measure.

(Last year I made playlists of 86 songs from 1986 and 91 songs from '91. Put 'em on, turn 'em up.)
I stream in my sleep:

a) I'm still loving THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, 1883 and SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE, which was just renewed for Season 2.

b) I watched the first ep of PAM & TOMMY, and it isn't a spoiler (only kind of a bummer) to say that it's pretty light on raunch and heavy on Seth Rogen.

c) I got back into YELLOWJACKETS--great cast/soundtrack, but yikes, there's more blood and DIY surgery on this show than on 1883.

d) SAGA is back! The comic finally returned after a three-year hiatus, and it's still fantastic. Grab this giant trade if you wanna catch up.

e) I'm still loving Cliff Chiang's CATWOMAN: LONELY CITY, which imagines a post-Batman world where Catwoman is a sharp-clawed woman in her 50s. The second issue is out now.

f) My wonderful studio mate Jason Goungor just released the first issue of the comic he makes with Jeffrey Burandt, KILLER BAD. It's gory 'n' gorgeous.

g) I'm almost done reading LAST CHANCE TEXACO, Rickie Lee Jones's memoir. She talks about everything in this sucker: sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, Tom Waits, etc. etc.

h) I'm an eternal Johnny Knoxville fan and can't wait to
see JACKASS FOREVER. He talks about taking risks and Tennessee on the SMARTLESS podcast.

i) The TALK EASY podcast has a great chat with musician/LICORICE PIZZA star Alana Haim

j) RIFKIN'S FESTIVAL is finally out, and its Wallace Shawn ratio might be even higher than PAM & TOMMY's Rogen Ratio.

k) I do Wordle and Sweardle. I'm much better at the former.

l) I was playing Tim Heidecker's song "Dark Days" the other day, and my kid kept saying "uh-huh" and "That's right!" after every line.

m) EXTRAORDINARY THINGS TO CUT OUT AND COLLAGE has been in my Amazon cart for awhile, but I think I'm ready to go for it.

n) Also on my wish list: ART DAY BY DAY, which offers a morsel of art history for every day of the year.

o) I'm planning to stream NIGHTMARE ALLEY this weekend.

p-z) I drew a comic about THE MASKED SINGER. See more at patreon.com/whitneymatheson.
