1/20 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for San Francisco's Safer Return Together Health Order
- Added two new questions clarifying return to work from I&Q.
1/19 Isolation and Quarantine - Web page
- Clarified that individuals who are unable to mask (e.g. children <2 or those with medical mask exemptions) are not eligible for shortened isolation even with a negative test after day 5 and must isolate for 10 days.

Schools

1/21 COVID-19 infections, symptoms, and exposures Guidance for schools, childcares, and programs for children and youth
- Additional information about group tracing approach including possible testing approaches.
- Updated reporting requirements for "Steps to take for positive COVID-19 case" and organized notification letters to be more easily identified by scenario.
- Shortened required quarantine period for children with close contact who become symptomatic to be a minimum of 5 days with a negative test on or after day 5 or a negative test after symptoms develop, whichever is later.
1/21 Close Contact Advisory - Children Under 18
- Updated to remove requirement to stay in quarantine for 14 day from close contact if child becomes symptomatic. Children may now return after 5 days from close contact with a negative test collected after 5 days OR after symptoms develop, whichever is later.
1/18 TK-12 Schools Only:Modified Quarantine Advisory
- Updated to reflect shortened quarantine duration of 5 days with 2 negative tests instead of 10 days.

1/10 Updated Health Order

ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER No. C19-07y (updated) ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO ENCOURAGING COVID-19 VACCINE COVERAGE AND REDUCING DISEASE RISKS

Authorization of two new oral antiviral medications (Paxlovid and Molnupiravir) for the early treatment of outpatients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 who are at high risk for progression to severe disease.

Requirement of health care workers in certain scenarios to receive a booster vaccine dose by February 1, 2022, or if they are not eligible for a booster by then within 15 days after becoming eligible, and to test once or twice weekly, depending on the setting, in the interim.
Certain exemptions to the indoor universal mask requirement have been suspended.
Starting February 1, 2022, operators of indoor Mega-Events check proof of up to date vaccination.

PPE FOR EXCEL SITES

ExCEL After School Program will begin to receive PPE for their staff and students starting this week. Boxes will be marked for “ExCEL” and will be delivered to your school site’s Main Office. Please let your main office know that your program is expecting PPE from SFUSD.
Please contact Phuong Thai (thaip1@sfusd.edu) if your site does not receive the PPE by the end of February.

Attendance Reminders
The first lock of the calendar year is coming up on Monday, February 7th.
Please:

submit all January attendance before this day
refer to this sheet for the rest of the EMS lock dates for the rest of the school year.
submit an EMS Attendance Request for any unlocks or troubleshooting needed for your sites.

EMS
To unlock, locate a missing student, question/concerns re: CMS transfers, please submit your request through the EMS Attendance Request form.
If any additional questions should arise, please contact Lucy (hongl1@sfusd.edu) and Justin (pazj@sfusd.edu) as they now oversee these requests.

ExCEL CBO SFUSD EMAILS
To request a NEW* SFUSD Email follow the steps below:

Make a PDF copy and complete the SCHOOL YEAR ExCEL CBO AUP TEMPLATE for each staff person
Complete pages 3 - 4, and drop completed forms into your agency’s folder
Submit SFUSD Email Requests for SY 2021 - 22 HERE
Please include the individual link of your completed form in your Email Request.

Mission Bit
Mission Bit has extended the deadline for their FREE after-school beginner-level Coding Classes!
Dates: February 7th - April 30th on M/W or T/R
Time: 4:30-6:30 PM
Location: Remote on Zoom; except for Web Design which will be in Jones Memorial Church in the Fillmore/SF
Classes offered: Python, Javascript, Web Design, Unity Game Design, and Intermediate VR*
*Intermediate VR is open only to students who took Unity Game Design during summer or fall 2021.
Eligibility: Bay Area High School students
EXTENDED deadline: January 23, 2022
