Dear Friends,

GROUP MINISTRY SERVICE THIS SUNDAY AT 10.00 AM
Our first Group Ministry service of the new year takes place this Sunday at  St Mary's on 30th January.  Please note that the service starts at 10.00 am.   All are welcome to join us with friends from St Mary's and All Saint's Ockham.  Highlights from the service will be available later on in the day on the St Mary's YouTube channel.  Please note that St Mary's asks that those attending continue to wear masks until seated and for singing.

COVID RESTRICTIONS
Following the Health Secretary's announcement that England will to return to Plan A from Thursday 27 January the wearing of masks in the church is now optional.  We will continue to make the north transept available for those who wish to continue to be socially distanced.  Coffee will return after the 10.30 am services from February.  These are the only changes we are making for the time being.  As we have said on numerous occasions, we understand that some will wish to continue to wear masks and that is perfectly fine and is respected.

LENT COURSE
This year's Lent Course is called 'Living in Love and Faith' and will begin during the week of 7th March.  'Living in Love and Faith' explores Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage.  There are three courses to choose from.  Two will be in person (Thursdays at 8.00 pm and Fridays at 2.00 pm)  and the third will be on Zoom (Wednesdays at 7.00 pm).  There are sign-up sheets in the church or you can email the parish office with your preference.  Please note that venues for the in-person courses will be decided when numbers are known.  parishoffice@easthorsleychurch.org.uk

GARETH AND FIONA: A WEDDING INVITATION
Many of you will know that our long-serving organist, Gareth Pont is to marry our choir leader, Fiona Lascelles on Saturday 26th February at 3.30 pm.  They would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone at St Martin's to the service and for drinks and nibbles in the church afterward.  The PCC will arrange a wedding gift from the parish and If you would like to make a contribution please click HERE.

FOODBANK
Please remember that the Foodbank is relying on our generosity to continue providing food to those in our village in need.  Please do not donate out-of-date items as they cannot be used.
The Foodbank is in need of tinned meat (no corned beef please as we have lots), tinned spaghetti hoops, sponge puddings, tinned custard, UHT fruit juice, fruit squash, sugar 500g and laundry powder.  Thank you so much for your continued support.

Every blessing.

THE FOURTH SUNDAY OF EPIPHANY

COLLECT
God our creator,
who in the beginning
commanded the light to shine out of darkness:
we pray that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ
may dispel the darkness of ignorance and unbelief,
shine into the hearts of all your people,
and reveal the knowledge of your glory
in the face of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
AMEN.
