Over the last year we have achieved many great things as a charity. Together, with your donations we have provided further scholarships to under-privileged Palestinian youth and championed the higher educational attainments of many at Universities across Israel/Palestine. The year ahead sees us implement many more events, fundraisers and initiatives geared towards lifting young Palestinians out of poverty through education. Here is a recap on what we've achieved and what we've got planned for 2022.
A WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW COHORT OF SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS 2021-2022

The welcoming ceremony for the new scholarship students was held on the 25th November at the New Grand Palace in Nazareth by our partners on the ground, the Arab Culture Association. We are delighted to be supporting 255 students this year.

As Antoinee Shallet of the ACA put it; "Our scholarship yields excellent results, and brings benefit to the younger generations of students of science and to our society and our people in general."

Student Mohammed Tarbey, from Sakhnin, said: “I am a third-year student in the scholarship program. The scholarship contributes and helps the Palestinian student to know his identity in our country and also to help the student educationally.

Join Us For Our First Webinar of 2022- Social Media: Israel/Palestine's New Battleground

This year we are planning a series of webinars, the first of which explores the experiences of Palestinians on Social Media and why censorship is so prevalent.

We are delighted to announce our two guest speakers, Nadim Nashif and Mona Shtaya, both of 7amleh – The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media.

The webinar is scheduled for Feb 2nd at 5pm GMT. Book here

August 12th marked our graduation ceremony, with traditional celebrations and jubilation all round. It is thanks to your support and donations that these young people now face a brighter future.

In December, we took part once again in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match funding campaign.  All donations made between November 30th and December 7th were doubled. A heartfelt thank you to our pledgers, and donors. Some late donations through other channels & an additional pledger brought our total to well above £20,000.

Our fabulous Team Galilee runners, took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October raising over £35,000, enough to support 10 students for the next year. That support includes not just student fees but the workshops they attend and their running costs.

We are so proud of Ali Jabarin, a Galilee Foundation Computer Sciences student who graduated from the Technion and received an excellence certificate from the institution for his high grades and accomplishments. Congratulation Ali, and all our very best wishes for your future as a change maker.
Don't forget to head on over to our online boutique to purchase some exclusive Palestinian gifts!
