Verifying charities’ claims is one stage of ACE’s charity evaluation process. We primarily focus on the claims that charities report to us regarding the outcomes of their programs and use this to inform our cost-effectiveness analysis and other aspects of our charity evaluation criteria. We’ve put a lot of thought and consideration into how we do this and have repeatedly improved our verification methodology over the past few years. Each year, we track donations to determine how many were influenced by our charity recommendations. This is an important way for us to measure our impact as a meta-charity.
