Dear Pastors, Friends, and Prayers Partners:

I am heading home from Michigan this morning following our second revival meeting of the year.  It has been a really sweet few days in Swartz Creek Michigan with Pastor Nathan Brown and the Cornerstone Baptist Church family.  I spoke Saturday as part of their leadership training sessions and then preached revival sermons the past three days.  The church welcomed me warmly, attended faithfully, and received God’s word gladly as I preached. It has been a good few days.

The first meeting of the year was in Illinois at Bible Baptist Church of Mattoon.  I enjoyed this meeting as well and Pastor Ryan Hayden and the church family treated me very, very graciously.  Both of these first two meetings were in churches that are new to me and I found it very encouraging.  Both are pastored by young men who believe the Bible, who love souls, who are raising Godly families, and who desire to do right and please God with their lives.  Let’s praise God for all these young men that He is raising up to impact this generation. Let’s encourage and do all we can to strengthen them as well.

I get to spend the rest of the day with my Jake who departs for his second semester of Bible College tomorrow.  I am a proud daddy! Please pray for him as he heads back to college.

Pray also for our son Matthew who has been having some rather serious health issues.  He is being tested for many things and we are deeply concerned for him. We hope to have some answers this week and are trusting God to take care of him and to meet his needs.  As you know, it is easier for me to type that than to practice it!  Still, it is our hearts desire to see God glorified in his life and we know that God loves him and will take care of him.

Pray also for our revival meeting that is just around the corner. Friday we will head south to First Baptist Church in Land O’Lakes FL!  Pastor Peterson is a dear friend and recently had a serious heart attack. I praise God that he is on the mend and I am praying that we will be an encouragement to both him and the church family during our time there.  Please pray with us about all of this.

We love you all and appreciate you so very much. Your prayers and support mean the world to us.  We couldn’t do any of this without you.

With all our love,

Dave and Bethlie Young

P.S.  It was on this day 36 years ago that I trusted Christ to be my God and Savior! I have never been the same.
