Reflections Circle Issue

Bonding Through Our Shared Experiences

Hi there,

Life is full of ups, downs, milestones, and changes. Whether you’re navigating a new job, dealing with a hard breakup, preparing for your first child, grieving the loss of a loved one, or are struggling to find your purpose, you’re not alone. In fact, many of us are going through or have had similar experiences — the key is connecting with each other.

That’s where The Salon’s Reflection Circle comes in. Created in partnership with Cassie Guerin, Salon member and founder of Miror, Reflection Circle Gatherings offer a unique opportunity to build strength and resilience in community with others over shared life experiences.

Be vulnerable. Be curious. Bond with other women. And take a deep dive into your own personal journey while gaining the perspective of those who are charting their own paths in the same mindful way.

In 2021, we gathered to explore our inner desires, how to receive love and form authentic, abundant relationships, create and define better boundaries, and more. We can’t wait to join together for another year of insightful and inspiring Reflection Circle Gatherings. Read on for what we have in store for 2022!

Until next week,
—Meredith

P.S. Salon Book Circle details to come next week! Thanks to all who suggested titles :)

The Salon Reflections Circle

None of us want to feel alone in our experiences. We created The Salon Reflections Circle to provide a space to join together with like-minded women and discuss our challenges, hopes, dreams, frustrations, and more.

It’s a support group for your everyday life — but it’s not group therapy. Hosted in collaboration with Salon Member and founder of the platform Miror, Cassie Guerin, The Salon Reflection Circle is a space between therapists and friends where we connect with others who understand what we’re going through — and talk about it.

We’re already planning our year of Gatherings for 2022. Last year, we hosted a handful of one-time sessions, and this year, we’re considering a series format. Understanding, shifting patterns to break toxicity, co-dependencies, sex and intimacy — it’ll all be on the table. But want to hear from you!

What are the areas that you want to prioritize in 2022? Where do you feel alone in your emotional, spiritual, or internal well-being and how can we help? What type of topics or experiences would you like our Reflections Circle to focus on in the coming months?

We’re all more alike than we are different. So take our survey below and let us know what sort of community you’d like to be part of. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts — see in you the Reflections Circle!

Laugh, learn, and connect with the brilliant women of Pittsburgh.

The Salon is a place to dabble in the unknown. We provide an admittedly eclectic (but community-led!) range of programming. One week, it might be an academic discussing the gender pay gap. Next, it might be wine tasting and hipster puzzles. Sign up for a membership to indulge in new things with us! And if it makes you a bit nervous — that might be a good thing.

Our events, conversations, and moments of inspiration all happen at Arsenal Motors — a beautiful co-working space in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh designed to make you feel at home while you do your best work.
