Digital platform overlay. Transcarent raised a $200M Series C round led by Kinnevik and Human Capital, with participation from Northwell Health, Intermountain Healthcare, and others. The startup contracts with self-insured employers to provide its digital care platform under a risk-based model that pays providers up front for care.
At-home hospital care. Medically Home secured $110M in funding from Baxter International, Global Medical Response, and Cardinal Health, among others. The fresh capital will help expand its hospital-at-home platform, which enables providers to treat high-acuity patients outside of the hospital.
Big money, big data. Verana Health, a company that analyzes patient data to expedite drug development, raised a $150M Series E round to expand its technology. The latest funding round was led by Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Novo Growth.
Platform-as-a-service. Access optimization platform DexCare secured a $50M Series B financing from investors including Kaiser Permanente, Providence Ventures, Mass General Brigham, and others. The capital will help expand its AI-driven platform, which manages health system capacity and real-time demand.
