100th Day of School
Dear Parents,
Our 100th day of school will be on Wednesday, February 3rd. To celebrate we would love to have the kids dress up like they are 100 years old. Mrs. Powell will have special 100th day Brag Tags for all who dress up. We have included some ideas to help you get in the spirit and start planning what your child will/can wear.
Girls – Skirt or MooMoo, pearls, eyeglasses, sweater, wig or curlers, gray hair spray, knee high stockings, large purse, scarf *NO SLIPPERS PLEASE
Boys – Button down shirt, flannel shirt, suspenders, tie, eyeglasses, drawn on mustache or beard, gray hair spray. *NO SLIPPERS PLEASE
We look forward to celebrating 100 days of school!
Valentine's Day
Monday February 14th, students are encouraged to wear uniform bottoms with Valentine's Day tops.
February Schedule Change
New schedule for Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022
Our teachers will be participating in a special training session in the afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 8.
Please note that we have changed our minimum day from Friday January 14th to Tuesday February 8th. Friday, January 14th will be a normal length day.
Early Dismissal Times:
K-2nd - 11:40
3rd-4th - 11:50
4th-6th - 12:00
Please make sure your student brings a lunch if they are staying for BASIC.
Jog-A-Thon
- February 4th -
Our annual jog-a-thon is the primary way that the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) raises funds to support our school. With the money raised through this event your PTF will continue to provide special events, classroom support for our teachers & students, technology and campus/classroom improvements.
We simply cannot do all we do without the success of Jog-a-Thon!
This year our fundraising goal is $38,000.00
Reaching this goal enables our PTF to continue to facilitate specific staff, student and campus needs.
We are asking EACH child to raise a minimum $180.00. Students can begin fundraising over Christmas break!

*If you cannot print the form do not worry, just write down donations on a piece of paper
We have 2 ways to collect donations.
Through cash and checks (made payable to CESW) *If you want a tax receipt for a cash donation you MUST make a note with address and name info on outside of envelope.
Through https://christianunifiedschoolsofsandiego.factsmgtadmin.com/give/– Students can receive online donations. This link is from our district website, located under the “online giving” tab. It is very important you make sure whoever uses the online sight that they are sure to indicate – CESW JOG A THON & “Child’s Name”.

Dear CESW Parents,
This is a friendly reminder that we are a “healthy only” campus, and if your child has any cold symptoms, he or she must stay home until symptom free. Also, if your child has been exposed to COVID, please contact the school office so we can instruct you on the steps to follow before sending your child to school. Let’s keep our campus safe and healthy!
Yearbook Ads On Sale Now!!
Yearbook ad pages are now on sale. They are on a first come first serve basis. Be sure to follow the online instructions to create and purchase your ad. Ads are open for all families K-6! We have limited space so be sure to purchase your ad early.
6th Grade Families – We will be doing a “Guess Who” page again this year. We need your child’s baby picture submitted no later than 12/09/2021!!! Please send in your child’s photo to be scanned to the school office marked “Ami Powell”. You can also email it to – ami.powell@christianunified.org. Be sure to clearly mark photo with your child’s name. Photos will be promptly returned. We will also need words of praise or encouragement (3-4 sentences) next to their yearbook photo. Both the baby pictures and words of encouragement are due by December 9th.
