SuperBowl Celebration -13 Feb 2022 - Sponsored by the AL Riders
Fellow Legionnaires and Post 6 Auxiliary members,

For the first time ever, the American Legion Post 6 Riders are sponsoring a Super Bowl party at our Post.
The doors will open at 3:00pm on 13 February, 2022 and the event will end at 11:59pm. Here's the concept of operations:

  • The Post will open at 3pm and close at 11:59pm on 13 February 2022.  There will be a $10 entry fee to get into the Party.  That entry fee pays for all the food you can eat.  Once in the Post, there will be several different options for attendees to do while awaiting the game (which starts at 6:30pm).
  • There will be a Poker tournament; a Pool tournament; and a Trivial Pursuit game (football questions) while awaiting kickoff.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle at halftime.
  • The food will include sub-sandwiches, ham sandwiches, and chili.

This should be an extremely fun event and a great way to end the football season and spend some time
with your friends.  There will be plenty of food and all of the popcorn you can eat (thank you Tim
Ross...for purchasing the popcorn machine and Lance Kress for providing all of the popcorn).  Of course,
the bar will be open the entire time. This event is open to you and all of the friends you want to sponsor, so please participate and make this a memorable event for everyone.  It goes without saying, if you are a football fan, wear your colors.

So we can get an accurate number of those coming, please click on this link and sign-up...you can pay your $10 (or more in donations) at the door.

Let’s make this a very memorable event and show your support for our Post 6 American Legion Riders.

1st Vice Note: Still need to Renew for 2022? It is easy to do online... https://mylegion.org/PersonifyEbusiness/Membership/Renew. We also take check, cash at the Post dropbox, in person or snail mail!  If we do not hear back from you in the coming weeks, we may have no choice but to suspend your membership, which will result in a denial of access to Post facilities and services. Further, we will have to drop your name to the “inactive” roster until such time as you pay your dues and join the rest of your brothers and sisters among Post members who are in good standing with the American Legion. This is necessary for us to avoid having your member record count against our active member numbers, as compiled by the NC Department.

New American Legion Branding? (not the Logo) For over 100 years the American Legion has been identified with a special emblem. Now we have changed how we use the emblem. This is part of a rebranding of The American Legion. Check it out here and shoutout to Lee Heavlin, our Post Historian for adding content to our homepage frequently!

All the Best,
