Hannah is my childhood best friend.

Cody is my husband best friend.

Alma Coffee is my business best friend.

One of the Core Values we preach at Pie Bar is Community.

We chose this word not only because it was a fantastic show that admittedly jumped the shark in season 4, but also because we value connecting with like-minded folks and working towards a goal we both feel passionately about.

Hannah and I built community together over:
Finding creative ways to "accidentally" run into that cute boy from homeroom.

Oh, I didn't know you went to church here.

Oh, I didn't know your Mom shopped here.

Oh, I didn't know you lived here.

*applies more Lip Smackers Dr. Pepper lip balm*

Cody and I build community together:
By acting like our dog, Hank, is our child and then giving people with human children parenting advice.

Oh, little Sasha isn't getting enough activity throughout the day? Just put her in the backyard with no consideration of the weather or time of day.

Oh, Geraldine isn't sleeping through the night? It's probably because you slacked off during the crate training period.

*gives Hank a literal bone to chew on*

And for Alma Coffee & Pie Bar our sense of community is built on:
The excitement we both have about growing our small businesses, over being really thoughtful and dedicated to our particular crafts, and if you've ever had a cup of Alma coffee with a slice of Pie Bar pie -- I think you can appreciate the "holy crap this is fantastic!" that happens to befall our lips whenever their coffee and our pie is together.

*they roast the beans to pair with the pie!!*

One of my greatest joys of being Pie Bar's owner is that I get to choose the people and businesses we source from..I get to say let's be Business BFFs!

Over the next several months I want to showcase the small business partners that make Pie Bar so special because without them our community wouldn't be nearly as warm, bright, or inviting as it is today.

I can't wait for you to get to know the people behind Pie Bar's coffee, tea, peaches, pecans, stationary, and more.

These are the folks that make up Pie Bar's Small Business Partnerships, and I am so excited to share them with you.

P.S. Have you seen Alma Coffee Owners / Husband and Wife: Harry & Leticia? If they weren't my Business BFF's they would be by Business Enemies because COME FREAKING ON they make ridiculous coffee and are TOO STINKIN' ADORABLE! Click the link below. You'll see.

Each new subscriber means another person we can share the Pie Bar Story with! And why is that important?

Because, the more folks that know and love Pie Bar, the more people we can bring joy through pie!
Thank you for being such a HUGE supporter of Pie Bar. We are all so grateful.
