Some misplaced items

get turned in to our Lost and Found.  Many never get claimed.  Below are a few photos of items that look like they were loved and would enjoy a reunion with their owner. Please visit the ticket office to be reunited.

Final snow making is in progress and we anticipate opening Ross on Friday.  We also have scheduled Baily Falls lift operations for this Friday and the weekend. Mother nature is predicted to get into the act with significant snow accumulation predicted for Wednesday and Thursday. It looks like we will be able to drop ropes on those backside trails that have sufficient snow for safe skiing.

February 5th we host the Middlebury College annual Feb Ski Down.  That means the lodge will see a bunch of non-skier visitors (fully masked) from around 11am until they race back down the mountain to their 1:30pm "To-Go" luncheon.  We will be asking graduation observers to park at Rikert so that our ski patrons can access the parking lot and our slopes.

All of Rikert's trails are open... miles of Nordic fun await!
We look forward to seeing you on the trails.  Cheers,

Patrol Tip of the Day  Good Morning everyone,  Sean here with a reminder of our lodge COVID precautions. These precautions have been put in place to ensure a comfortable and safe warming space for everyone.  Having a safe place to warm up is important on a cold day.

Middlebury College requires all Snow Bowl patrons and employees to wear a face mask at all times while inside.  At this time, eating and drinking inside the lodge is not allowed, which is a change from December. All food and drink must be consumed outside or in your vehicles. Please enjoy the new, comfortable Adirondack chairs on our sunny back deck, so relaxing.

Be aware that some people prefer to ride up the chairlift alone as means of limiting virus exposure from those outside their contact group, this is permitted even on busy chairlift day's. Finally, outside on the slopes there are no COVID restrictions while you are skiing or boarding safely.

Have fun and be safe

Our Winter Term lessons are being extended into February to enable more of our college students the opportunity to complete their training. This impacts the magic carpet from 2pm thru closing until winter term lessons end in mid-Feb.
