Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Chris moved to Dover Plains 19 years ago with her husband Keith. Chris enjoys vegetable gardening and spending time with her extended family including her many nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
As an avid reader, Chris has supported literacy efforts since her retirement by volunteering for Book Buddies in Dover Elementary School. After COVID shut the program down, she and her husband set up a "little library" in High Meadows so that children could continue to access books during the pandemic. She looks forward to working with the Board of Trustees to continue to expand library services.
Ending soon!
Are you up for a challenge? We have a fun one for you! Check out a Crayon Tower Bucket and see how tall you can build a crayon tower by stacking the crayons. For Jenga players this should be super easy! You aren't allowed to use anything other than the crayons provided. No glue, paper clips, tape, etc!
Crayon Tower Buckets will be available until mid February. Send a pic of your creation to us at programs@doverlib.org! The tallest tower gets a prize! The winner will be announced by the end of February!

The puzzle exchange is located inside the main library, through the 'Reference' doorway, and a quick turn to the right! The puzzles are on the shelf across from the card catalog computer and below the audiobooks!
