School is closed tomorrow.

We have 4 teachers out sick tomorrow and I don’t want an ice rink disaster with car lines, walking kiddos into class etc. when we are short staffed.
Yes, I put down salt already. The problem is the sun does not hit the sidewalk. The snow melts off the roof, drips on the sidewalk and refreezes. My contractor is going over there to do some ice and snow removal this evening and put down more salt for when we have school on Tuesday.
I did not want to close. But, you can see by the picture that Brickhouse Court was not plowed by the city and it is very bad. Nothing melted on the sidewalk on the long side of the complex. With people coming in and out dropping kids off, it has nightmare potential.
Tomorrow is getting much warmer so I expect considerable melt. If you have private music lessons Monday, please contact your instrumental teacher because they will still probably have lessons. It’s getting up to low 40s tomorrow. Let’s hope for melt.
