COVIDSAFE PLAN SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS

The Victorian Government is offering a free support service to assist business with their COVIDSafe Plan, ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects current COVIDSafe Settings. It will take an hour of your time.  Every Victorian business must have a COVIDSafe Plan – it is to help protect workers and customers from COVID-19.  As part of this service, the state government is conducting support via a variety of methods. There are two online information sessions running this week.

Information forum dates and times:

  • Tuesday, 25 January (3.00 pm)
  • Thursday, 27 January (11.30 am)
Part I - information forum – This session will cover updated details of the COVIDSafe Plan, mandatory content addressing the six key principals, best practice advice, and how to implement the Plan in your business.
Part II - workshop session (optional) - At the end of the information forum you will be able to book a workshop session to assist with your current COVIDSafe Plan or support you in developing a new Plan.

COMMERCIAL TENANCY SUPPORT EXTENDED
The Victorian Government has extended the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme to 15 March 2022, providing rent relief and protections for commercial tenants and landlords experiencing hardship through the latest wave of the pandemic.

The Victorian Government is partnering with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to deliver a business mentoring program to help small businesses. 

Through this program, eligible business owners can receive up to four 2-hour mentoring sessions with an experienced professional who will help them make informed decisions about the future of their business.

The program offers tailored guidance on:

  • Business recovery – to strengthen business recovery (cost reduction, debt and cashflow management)
  • Market transformation – to understand how COVID‑19 has triggered or accelerated market changes
  • Digital literacy and engagement – to help businesses reach new customers and markets
  • Market and supply chain diversification – to reduce exposure to supply chain risks
  • Reskilling and retraining – to help businesses upskill their existing workforce

ENERGY EFFICIENT COMMUNITIES (EEC) PROGRAM
FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING GRANTS

Applications are now open for the Energy Efficient Communities Food and Beverage Manufacturing Business Grant program

The program will provide grants to support small and medium-sized food and beverage manufacturing businesses to improve energy efficiency practices and technologies to manage energy consumption to reduce their power bills. Funding is from between $10,000 and $25,000. 

Applications close at 5.00pm AEDT on 18 February 2022.
