In 2011, 739 new students enrolled in Adult and Graduate Studies degree programs. In 2010, 550 new students enrolled. The 2011 statewide goal was 720, including internal transfers.


Southern Wesleyan announces fall 2011 dean’s list

Southern Wesleyan University announced its fall 2011 dean’s list students, who earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher on all work attempted (12 hours or more) during the fall 2011 semester, with no grade for any single course below 3.0.  Read more >>

Warriors Ink First Members of Women's Golf ProgramWarriors

Head Women's Golf Coach Douglas Wilkinson is pleased to announce the signing of the first two student-athletes to the women's golf program for the inaugural season in 2012, Callie Brothers and Cyndi Smith. Brothers is from Pendleton and has been to the 3A State Tournament for four years. She was on the Region Championship team in 2008 and 2009. Smith is from York and has competed in the 4A State Tournament for four years and the 3A State Tournament for Two years. Her best finish was a tie for 12th. Smith has played in numerous junior events around the Southeast Region, and has had 5 top-30 finishes in national junior tournaments.

Thanks from the IT office
The Office of Information Technology would like to thank everyone who stopped by their
reception last week. According to Mark Mealy, everyone attending had a great time and the IT department gathered valuable information. There were also several giveaways. The winner of the “Dinner and Movie” grand prize was Vicki Hayes. She received a $50 gift card to Outback and $20 for a movie. Congratulations, Vicki!

Winter holiday schedule:
Christmas/New Year’s - Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2012; university offices will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, and offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.
Martin Luther King Day  - University offices will be closed on Monday, Jan.16.
