HARGRAVE FAMILY LAW
JANUARY 2022
It’s a New Year!  And with it, comes the hope of a “New Me”.  This year, I dove into 2022 with a host of resolutions – things I desire to improve about myself.  And now, not even a complete month into the New Year, I’m already feeling weary. One large factor in determining the success of these “resolutions” is making sure I am prepared – not only for a change in habits but also for the change in outcomes.  Change is hard and intentional, responsible preparation is an important part of making any successful change.

In this Newsletter, we are focusing on preparing for divorce.  January is the peak season for divorce filings, so even if this information isn’t something you need, you may find it helpful to share it with a friend or family member.  Specifically, we are focusing on what information you need to know to determine whether divorce is right for your family.  If you’ve decided to move forward with a divorce, we also explore what kind of support system you need to help you through that process.  We also address why in the world lawyers cost so much money and what you can do to make sure you are making the best use of your resources.

We hope that whatever changes you are focusing on in this New Year that you take the time to assure that you have everything you need, and that includes a whopping dose of self-acceptance to propel you forward!  Cheers to an amazing 2022 for us all!

It is the eternal, inescapable law that growth comes only from work and preparation, whether the growth be material, mental, or spiritual. Work has no substitute.
