Dear <<First Name>>
We are delighted to announce that the launched of the West Pymble Football Club Club Vision and Strategy that is focused on discovering our identity as a Community football club and establishing initiatives through to 2025 to continue our success.
Our Club Values and Vision - which take into account feedback provided by club members at the end of the 2019 season and which has been developed over the past year - is now ready to be shared with
you, our members.
Our Vision is to continue to provide an enjoyable football experience for all and doing so through building a strong, all inclusive club culture. We plan to start this journey to achieve our vision in four key areas over the coming years:
- Football Experience
- Facilities
- Marketing and Communications
- Community Football Events
The image further below (click for a larger version) provides further detail on these four pillars, and the option to download the our club Strategy Development document.
Some key highlights that are already in progress, or are being targetted by 2025 include:
Football Experience: Achieve 50% female players of total players (2021 season 31% compared to NSFA 26%) towards our objective of being
the preferred destination club for female players and coaches, and over 80% retention of prior-year players (2021 season 69%)
Facilities: Priority is improving grounds for our members starting with the Norman Griffiths Oval all-weather pitch which is due to commence in March. We intend to then prioritise working with Ku-ring-gai Council and the local community on a premium natural turf upgrade of Mimosa Oval.
Marketing and Communications:
- Continue to increase our touch to our members and our broader community through increased communications of key club information and events
- Retention of our existing sponsors, as well as securing new, ongoing sponsors that are crucial to us providing equipment, playing strips for all teams, training strips for age groups, and sponsorship of specific club programmes such skills sessions for current, and potential new players.
Community Football Events: We have a range of social events organised for the year including Welcome BBQs, the Clubhouse re-opening after internal refurbishment in the 2021 off-season, and the celebration of our 65th Club Anniversary, of which we are seeking volunteers to assist with. This builds on events in years prior, including 2021's successful Female Football Week.
At the centre of our success as a community club - in our 65th year - are the volunteers that assist in the various roles that are crucial to keep the club running. Without our volunteers - from the Committee, Council, team managers, the majority of coaches, age group coordinators, grounds administrators etc. we would not be able to function. We are looking forward to welcoming all returning volunteers in 2022 and those who are joining us for the first time in this capacity.
In noting this, we would like to highlight that we are seeking volunteers to help out with the following roles this season:
Marketing and Communications - (outlined on page #7)

The Club Committee are much looking forward to working with you all through this season to commence our path to achieving our club vision and strategy, and to another successful season on the field.
Regards,
Kevin Johnson
