Join us in celebrating this UN observed World Wetlands Day on 2 February! Let’s share the wondrous ecosystem services wetlands offer with everyone and demand targets to protect them, to safeguard ourselves and biodiversity.
‘Wetlands Action for People and Nature’ - a call to all stakeholders to honour the caretakers of wetlands, who understand the services and the nature-based solutions they provide; and to invest financial, human and political capital in managing them wisely and restoring them for biodiversity, climate and sustainable development outcomes.
Everyday should be World Wetlands Day

"As we need wetlands to protect nature and humanity from the most devastating impacts of climate change, we should make everyday World Wetlands Day! Join us in securing the future of wetlands.” - Jane Magdwick, Watch the full video!
