2022 Chapter Board Strategic Planning
To prepare for the year ahead, our Greater Vancouver Chapter Board held our strategic planning session - to reflect and come together (virtually!) in order to focus our efforts. We brainstormed strategies, and currently our Board Members are considering ideas and ways to align with our Chapter’s Mission and Goals:
Greater Vancouver Chapter Mission: We are dedicated to advancing the discipline and profession of change management, while supporting our members in developing individual and organizational change capabilities.
  • Increase knowledge of change management (CM)
  • Deepen connections and networks with other CM practitioners
  • Promote value proposition of ACMP Greater Vancouver
  • Partner with education, business and other organizations
  • Maintain and improve Chapter operations
We will continue to build on the successful member engagement and events for increasing knowledge and deepening our network of change management practitioners, continuing with the monthly Change Conversation with Change Practitioners series hosted by Lisa Kempton, continued presentations delivered by several advanced practitioners, quarterly new member meetup sessions, and new networking opportunities. Our Mentorship Program launches this month, which is also an exciting way to support knowledge building and deepening connections.

We hope you can join us and take part in these great member offerings!

Warmly,
Felicia
President, ACMP Greater Vancouver Chapter
Event: Conversation with Change Practitioners
Changes are as unique as snowflakes - no two changes are the same. Our approach needs to adapt to the unique circumstances of the change. Some changes benefit from great structure and planning, others benefit by being held more freely, offering opportunities for experimentation and adaptation. Using a tool from The Group for Organizational Effectiveness, we assess a change to determine the right mix of planned vs. adaptive activities in your change effort. Together, we will establish terminology that is helpful in distinguishing types of change, discuss the prevalence of adaptive changes and brainstorm adaptive change techniques and tactics.

Date & Time: January 14th, 2022; 8am – 9am (Join at 7:45am for informal networking)
Host: Lisa Kempton

Registration: The Conversation with Change Practitioners series is a “member only” event. Members will receive an email from ACMP Greater Vancouver with registration information.
