National i-THRIVE Community of Practice
January 2022

We hope you have had a restful Christmas break and an enjoyable New Year.
Our team are looking forward to further work with sites in 2022, supporting implementation of the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019).

New Implementation Story: Merton Youth Justice Service

Dr Ali Shnyien, Clinical Psychologist and co-ordinator for Merton Youth Justice Service Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, has been working with the National i-THRIVE programme team to produce an implementation story, showcasing how their approach is aligned with the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019).

This can be found live on our website here.

If you are interested in creating a local Implementation Story to showcase how your locality is aligned with the principles and needs based groupings of the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019), please contact the team on ithriveinfo@tavi-port.nhs.uk.

CoP event: Using Ambit for supporting ICS partnerships.

Date: Thursday 10th March 2022
Time: 9:30-11:00
Register here.

AMBIT is a mentalization based team approach for teams working with young people with severe and multiple needs, who do not tend to access mainstream services. We believe that this approach is well suited to enabling localities to support ICS partnerships.

This event hopes to bring together multiagency partners with the aim to get system ready for supporting implementation of the THRIVE framework across the ICSs. It will consider a range of AMBIT principles and tools to ensure initiatives supporting risk are robust and aligned with the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019), with integrated needs led support.

Call out for future National i-THRIVE Community of Practice presenters

We want to increase opportunities for shared learning from the diverse communities across the country that are implementing the THRIVE Framework. In addition, we would like the diversity to be reflected in our presenters at webinars and face to face events to actively promote and encourage diverse perspectives. The team will provide coaching and practical support to build confidence and skill for anyone willing to share their learning.

Feedback from a number of presenters have been that the National i-THRIVE Community of Practice events have been a friendly introduction to presenting on a national scale for which we can provide a certificate to validate the contribution.

Please do contact us at ithriveinfo@tavi-port.nhs.uk if you would like to think about how to take this forward.

If you have any queries about implementing the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019), please contact the team at ithriveinfo@tavi-port.nhs.uk. We will endeavour to help in any way we can.

With warm wishes,

The National i-THRIVE Programme Team
