Spring semester welcome back

There is a possibility for freezing rain, sleet and/or snowfall forecast from Saturday evening into Sunday. Plan ahead to have any needed supplies (such as prescriptions, groceries, etc.) if the weather would preclude safe driving on Sunday. Stay alert for weather-related announcements from Wake Forest, which could include information about changes to dining hours/locations, building hours of operation, etc. if applicable.
Poet Laureate coming to Wake Forest.
We are delighted to share that U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo will be visiting Jan. 25-27. Joy will lead the fourth installment of our interdisciplinary writing workshop for students, and a poetry performance on Jan. 26 in Wait Chapel. This event is free and open to the public. Student Health Service service update
With the prevalence of influenza and the highly contagious Omicron variant of COVID-19, SHS has temporarily suspended online appointment bookings in the Student Health Portal and requests that you contact them at apptshs@wfu.edu or 336.758.5218 prior to visiting the clinic. Details at shs.wfu.edu.
TimelyCare mental health support available 24/7
The University Counseling Center has partnered with TimelyCare, a student-focused telehealth company, that will expand and enhance mental health support for our students. Services are free, confidential, and available now to every Reynolda Campus undergraduate and graduate student. Visit: counselingcenter.wfu.edu/timelycare
Outreach Workshop Learning Series
As part of OWLS (Outreach Workshop Learning Series), the Center for Learning, Access, and Student Success (CLASS), along with Student Health Service, will offer a workshop titled “ADHD Info Session: What it is AND What it isn’t.” The workshop will be in-person on Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. in 301 Reynolda Hall and virtually on Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. Email CLASS@wfu.edu for the Zoom link and visit OWLS for more information.

Wake Forest implemented new protocols to govern University-sponsored indoor events to begin the spring semester. This guide is intended to provide clarity regarding these protocols to event organizers.
Student Trustee Applications
The Wake Forest University Student Life Committee is seeking applicants and nominations for the Student Trustee position on the 2022 – 2023 Board of Trustees. The Student Trustee position is open to all rising, full-time junior and senior students (i.e. current sophomores and juniors) at Wake Forest University who are not on academic or social probation. The selection process will take place during spring semester 2022. Details.
