Hello 2022.

Hey everyone! A quick note that we will be back in action for our groups this coming Monday, January 17th! I've missed all the pups (and people) while I've been recharging with Mindy. I ended up not making it to Pennsylvania nor to any of my pit stops beyond the Salt Flats. My family contracted covid one by one as I made my way across the country, so I turned around and came back to California. (They are all doing well at this time and were vaccinated.)

I spent a wonderful time up in the boonies of Redding for my holiday and have been hiking around the Bay ever since, visiting with my dog pro friends I don't get to see due to, well, us always working! Photos and links to their websites are below. While this break was not what I expected, it was still an excellent one. I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves with pawed and peopled family during this time and is feeling refreshed themselves.

A note on face masks

Short and sweet: Omicron seems to be highly contagious, so I'll be wearing my N95s when indoors and in close quarters with everyone. It is up to you whether or not to be masked in my presence.
Here's our lineup for the new year!

MWF
Kara
Bodhi
Bianca
Peanut
Nina
Philo

TR
Atlas
Diya
Lucy
Nina
Ruby
Luke
Davis
I visited the highly acclaimed Rebekah Piedad up in Shingletown, where she has her property for Yes! Dog. She specializes in extreme aggression cases and exclusively boards and trains while living in the middle of nowhere with her own dogs. Basically, she's my idol.
Our schedule:

While the weather remains cold, our FIRST pickup will continue to be in the 9-9:30am range, with everyone home by 2pm, most likely 1pm, for each weekday.

Billing:

I'm setting up billing to be recurring from this month forward in an effort to, well, not slack on invoicing! You'll see your invoice in your inbox within the next few days if you haven't already been converted to auto-bill.

Hiring:

I'm still interviewing! I'm hoping to have someone for at least the TR group by March so we can have more off-leash friends during the week.

Land:

I'm looking for land to rent or purchase for our buddies to have a private space to frolic. This idea has been in the back of my head for some time, and I'm putting plans in place to make it a reality.

Good-byes:

Over the tail end of the year, we had to say good-bye to two little buddies. Rascal was our little schipperke on MWF who was always plucky and kept the youngsters on their toes. Bogie, our old coworker and friend Cameron's dog, was another patriarch of our crew who was always ready for adventure and enjoyed sitting in the front seat. Please send your good vibes their families' ways as they heal.
Connie Ko and I stole away to take our crazies into the wilderness. She runs Kuma Dog Training in Mountain View (we live maybe two miles from each other max.) I couldn't stay sane without her friendship.
Another friend Heidi Shing of SwiShing Tails Dog Training hikes dogs from San Francisco on its beaches as well as trains, and yes, boards in her home. It was great to finally get to see her at the beach!

Have a fantastic weekend! I look forward to seeing you all soon.
-Steph

PS: Please enjoy this photo of Mindy being confused at me wanting her so still at the Salt Flats in Utah a few weeks ago.
