Colleges and universities support community resilience  

In the spring of 2021, nine post-secondary institutions engaged in dialogue with their communities and explored how to “build back better” post-pandemic. 

Community needs have evolved because of the pandemic, and post-secondary institutions have been community anchors throughout. 

This report highlights how colleges and universities can work hand in hand with communities to build resilience in their regions.

Nourish officially launches new charity

McConnell's former initiative Nourish has now blossomed into a new charitable organization: Nourish Leadership. The organization continues to work with its core partners, including the McConnell Foundation, the Arrell Family Foundation and Maple Leaf Centre for Action on Food Security, in addition to a growing network of funders and supporters.  

The organization started with a simple idea: how can the hospital tray be a platform to dream big and transform our food and health systems? Over the past five years, Nourish Leadership has grown in its mission to transform food in healthcare by bringing together leaders and innovators to transition towards health care systems that are more preventative, equitable and sustainable. 

We celebrate this step forward for Nourish Leadership and its continued work with health care organizations.
