After a slow first week back, we have seen a steady increase in the number of COVID cases within the DBS community. It is likely that the COVID response protocols will change over the next week, but here is a link to the current guidelines. Also, in the near future, we will receive take home tests for families who had an exposure. Be on the lookout for information on how to access them. Finally, if your child had an exposure, we can do PCR testing on days 5 to 7. Contact Andrea for access to testing.

Custom hand crafted wooden ice fishing jig sticks for sale. This is a fundraiser for the Dothan Brook School PTO in Wilder, VT. The hickory wood was donated by Benny Danaher at Kingfisher Woodworks. The finished sticks are sealed with beeswax polish. Prices are $15 for bare stick, $20 for stick with 6 or 8lb test line and a jig head, or $25 for a custom engraved stick with line and jig head. Custom engraving includes name and a simple image if preferred. Approximately 1 week turnaround. If your child is vaccinated, please send a copy of their vaccination card to our school nurse. Students who are vaccinated do not need to quarantine if there is an exposure at school.

Recess is an important part of every child's day. Dothan Brook students go outside everyday for recess except during extreme cold or rain. Please make sure your child comes to school prepared to be outside. If you need cold weather gear, let us know. We are happy to provide you with hats, gloves, jackets, snow pants, etc.
If you need to make a transportation change, email DBSOffice@hartfordschools.net before noon OR call the school before 2:00.
