Just a quick but important note about filing your tax return this year.
The IRS is sending two letters about payments made to you in 2021. We want to make sure you hold onto these letters and include them with your tax documents.
The first is Letter 6146, which tells how much of the advance Child Tax Credit you received in 2021 (if any). That should have been sent out in late December.
The other is Letter 6475, which tells how big of an Economic Impact Payment (what most of us call the "stimulus") you received last year. That letter is scheduled to be sent in late January.
