More information about the process is available on the ARC website. Students who plan to request medical housing may want to use the upcoming winter break to speak to their healthcare providers. The first consideration date is February 11, 2022. | | Spring 2022 ARC Exam ProctoringThe Academic Resource Center offers proctoring services for students who have been approved for testing accommodations through the ARC. Starting January 31st, 2022, a proctor will be available in-person Monday-Thursday, 8 am - 6 pm EDT, and Friday 9 am -5 pm EDT in the ARC testing center, located in the Leavey Center, Suite 338. The Academic Resource Center offers free drop-in tutoring sessions led by students who have achieved proficiency in Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, and Latin. | | February is: Black History Month! In celebration of Black History Month, we would like to introduce you to a Black Disabled Activist with a global legacy, Don Galloway (1938-2011), pictured to the right with his guide dog. You can read about Don’s incredible legacy here.
The involvement of Black activists had an immense impact on the disability rights movement. In particular, Brad Lomax and the Black Panther Party were instrumental in feeding and supporting the demonstrators in 1977’s “504 Sit-In”. |
