We are excited to announce that Amalia Fernand will once again offer the Nature Explorers Program at the CSA this summer! This half day organized activity will be held August 1-5, 2022 from 1:15-4:45pm for ages 5-8, for a fee of $160. Drop-off location details and COVID-19 protocols will be announced closer to program dates. Part-Time Job Opening - Pilgrim Fund Secretary
 
The Pilgrim Fund Committee is actively soliciting applicants for the Pilgrim Fund Secretary position. Key requirements:
* Part-Time Job: 3-4 hours/week during the Assembly Season is the estimated time requirement;
* Available to attend all CSA Sunday Services – if rare emergencies prevent this, provide a suitable substitute;
* Strong knowledge of/experience with Excel and Word;
* Excellent telephone, text and email communication skills – each week the incumbent must obtain orders of worship from the ministers in time to print the bulletins;
* Well-developed organizational and administrative skills: basic accounting, filing, taking minutes at Pilgrim Fund Board of Trustees meetings;
* Salary is commensurate with experience.

The CSA Women’s Association is looking for 2-3 adult volunteers to assist the current Cottage Treasures Chair at the 2022 Arts and Crafts Fair on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022. Cottage Treasures is a vital fundraiser for the CSA Women’s Association! Two Benzie County Matters for Your Information
 
A significant real estate development has been proposed for Elberta. It will be discussed at an Elberta planning and council meeting on January 20th. Details about the proposal are covered in a December 23rd article in the Benzie Record Patriot that you can read here. We are sharing this not because we are taking a position, but because it may be of interest to many in our community. The Elberta Council meeting on the 20th is scheduled as follows:
4:00pm.  Regular Planning Commission meeting 
5:30pm.  Special Planning Commission Meeting - proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance
7:00pm.  Village Council Meeting

Also, the Benzie Conservation District is in the process of updating their "Natural Resource Assessment" which is completed every 5 years. Completion of a survey is requested by February 25, 2022. It can be found here.
