Your Invitation to Lunch for a Fiver

Years ago, the FT ran a lip-smacking scheme under which a second guest could lunch for £5. They stopped it after a year but we didn't and we bring it back again from Saturday 29 January until Friday 11 February across EDS (excluding Sundays).

Bring along a copy of this email on your device or as a hard copy when eating, and use the invitation as often as you like. One invitation may be used for each two guests.

A WINTER ESCAPE

We remind you that the Winter Escape continues until Thursday 24 March outside of Fridays and Saturdays and half term weeks. It could not be simpler: a good supper (no restrictions or supplements), a comfortable bed and the best of breakfasts.

All this from just £185 a couple at The Gurnard's Head or The Old Coastguard, and £190 at The Felin Fach Griffin. Or, join us for Sunday lunch as well as dinner to make our famous Sunday Sleepover. OUVERTURE/FERMETURE

While we’re here, a quick reminder of when our doors are open over the remainder of January.

The Old Coastguard re-opens for lunch on Sunday 16 after a brief Paintathon. Following the shenanigans of the last 3 years, it hasn’t been a closure of heroic innovation, but a new, expanded bathroom for Room 6 will be a huge improvement for our most obvious family room.

Across the moor at The Gurnard’s Head and at The Griffin, we close after breakfast on Monday 17 for 10 days and some fairly crunchy interiors work at both. We open from lunchtime on Friday 28 in Wales and from lunchtime on Saturday 29 in Cornwall. If you need your fix of either before closing, the weekend is looking busy but we’ve the odd table here and there. If you can’t find what you need online, drop us an email and we’ll do what we can.

Lunch for a Fiver Terms & Conditions
Only one invitation may be used per two guests, per visit. There is no alternative for solo diners. Where parties are larger you will require one invitation for every two guests. Each two guests using an invitation will both need to order a minimum of 2 courses. Side dishes are not included. This offer is available from Monday to Saturday (excluding Sundays) between 29 January - 11 February only. Use of Lunch for a Fiver must be declared when booking. By completing your details and receiving your Lunch for a Fiver invitation you are agreeing to join the mailing list for EATDRINKSLEEP.

Food costs are worked out as follows (per two guests)
1. The higher spending guest is charged full price for their share of lunch (at least 2 courses).
2. The other guest is charged £5.
3. All drinks are charged at the usual prices.
