Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes, courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow"
Mary Anne Radmacher
This morning

There are a number of new readers, thanks, I imagine, to wonderful recommendations, gift recipients, and most incredibly, being included in Hiut's jaw-dropping list of Makers & Mavericks. What a start to the year it's been. Welcome all!

Kids are back in school. The most pressing items from my post-holiday to-do list have been tackled, and I finally have time for one of my favourite activities — writing this newsletter.

The start of a new year, and new hopes and plans in place for us all. So much of the past two years has had to be reactive, and I can't help but hope for the semblance of stability in the year ahead.

It's a legitimate hope, right?

I'm really excited (eep, and nervous given my introverted-ways) about having this be the year of community. I am constantly blown away by how engaged, supportive and aligned everyone is, and want to get you involved.

What does that mean? Hmm. Not sure, but I can guarantee it'd be better to see the bags showcased on a whole variety of people than just myself... so I'm looking forward to thinking up some fun plans around that. Watch this space!

(Have given further update to Baxley antics at the bottom of the email. Now for the good reads!)

Life tweaks
"100 ways to slightly improve your life without really trying". A totally fun list.

A LITTLE, WINS
This article was about running, but I'm inspired in all ways by the same idea — the amount doesn't matter, as long as there's constant effort.

GRANOLA BARS
It seems this recipe has an ardent following, which — given the billions of granola variations out there — is impressive. I might see if I can make a school-snack-friendly version.

I'm looking to add to my fabric collection

So, I'm also working on this:

Hardware — after almost two years dealing with a global lack of raw materials and an epically inconsistent manufacturer, I'm looking to change both metal and British mill. Emails are flying, and my fingers are crossed!

Fabric — I don't need too much more fabric, but do find myself constantly wishing for another mid-tone and accent colour. Have been debating for months, and finally need to place the order if I want to use it this year. What colours would you choose? Hit reply; I'd love to know :)

Production — back in flow! There's such little stock of everything at present, and much of that is down to lack of hardware. But, the team will be getting what bags they can complete from this week on.

That's it! Ahh, feels good to write again. Hope you're doing well, and have great hopes for the year ahead.
