Dear Member
Firstly, on behalf of the Trust I would like to wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year. Last year was difficult in many respects with Covid dominating life in our community as well as in terms of the progress that the Trust could make in delivering its key project for affordable housing at Mill Road. Let us all hope that the coming year sees significant improvements and progress as we learn to accommodate life with Covid.
The main purpose of this Newsletter is to update you on the AGM that was held on 2nd December 2021. Once again it was necessary to hold this meeting on Zoom which is less than satisfactory, but it did enable us to record the meeting and make it available for the wider membership to view. A copy of the minutes of the AGM can be found at this link. Together with the agenda and supporting documents. If you want to see the recording of the proceedings you can do so at this link.
The key points from the AGM were;
- Adoption of the accounts for the year ending 31 March 2021
- Approval of the accountants for the year ahead
- A progress report on the activities of the Trust over the previous year
- An update on the progress with the Mill Road planning application and transfer of the land to the Trust
- An update on our approach to funding and implementing the scheme
- A presentation from our Architects on how we propose to move forward with the selection of a contractor
- Questions to Trustees
So please have a look at the recording of the AGM and its associated papers to bring yourself up to date with the current position.
