CAMPBELL OPERA LIBRETTIST PRIZE: APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Applications are now open for the Campbell Opera Librettist Prize, awarded annually to an American librettist who demonstrates exceptional talent and the potential to make a substantial contribution to the opera literature. Apply by February 23, 2022. Learn more.

RACIAL JUSTICE OPERA FORUM: FEBRUARY 1–5
OPERA America’s first-ever Racial Justice Opera Forum welcomes anyone who is committed to moving racial justice forward in the opera field to a week of intentional learning, engagement, and practical application. The forum will take place virtually from February 1 to 5 and is free for all OPERA America members. Non-members can participate by joining as $75 Individual Members. Register now.

OPERA CONFERENCE 2022: EARY-BIRD REGISTRATION

OPERA AMERICA AWARDS THIRD CYCLE OF IDEA OPERA GRANTS
OPERA America is pleased to announce that it has awarded the third cycle of IDEA Opera Grants to Diana Solomon-Glover, Maria Thompson Corley, Pamela Baskin-Watson, and Nedra Dixon. The grant program supports teams of composers and librettists who identify as African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and/or Native American in the development of new operatic works. Read more.

WALLACE FOUNDATION POST ON MENTAL HEALTH OF ARTS WORKERS
The Wallace Foundation has released a new blog post, "Helping Arts Workers Navigate Pandemic-Induced Burnout," in which several organizations offer resources and ideas to support the health and wellness of people working in the arts. Read more.
