Churches in the Indianapolis area will be participating in a virtual rally this Sabbath, January 22, designed to promote the upcoming Pathway to Health event. Guest speaker Mark Finley will encourage us to follow Christ’s method of meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters in the greater Indianapolis area.
If your church is not participating in this event or if you are worshiping from home this Sabbath, the livestream link for Elder Finley’s sermon will be available at 11:30 am on our conference website homepage: indysda.org. The link will remain on the website for later viewing as well.
Volunteers for Pathway to Health are still needed. Our conference has been asked to provide 1,000 volunteers for the event at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. Set-up at the stadium will take place April 14 and 15. The Pathway clinic dates will be April 17-20, with teardown scheduled for April 21.
Medical volunteers are needed for the following specialties: licensed primary care and surgery, dermatology, pulmonology, orthopedics, cardiology, podiatry, OB-GYN, and radiology. Physical therapists, nurses, and lab technicians are also needed.
80% of the volunteer staff is needed for non-medical services. A variety of non-medical opportunities are available.
Volunteers are welcomed to serve for the entire event, several days, or even a single day.
