Announcing A Special Year of Teaching!
This January I gave myself the gift of a two-day Winter Artist Get-Away at Hameau Farm Studio, located in Belleville PA, a beautiful farm valley sided by distant mountains and woodland trails along Kish Creek. This farm and it's owner have become inspirational for my art and teaching. After organizing the Hameau Artist Retreats for twenty five years, I have come to love and feel at peace in this valley, often called "The Big Valley." And so, I chose to return and hoped to awaken my artistic spirit in a place of serenity.
Everyone needs time to step away from the day to day and disengage from the daily circle game, ~ make time to reflect and enrich their inner spirit. The Hameau Studio with its second floor deck, window views and spacious high ceilings, gives it a sense of being outside. It was a perfect place to reconnect to my plein air heart in the warmth of a studio.
My goal was to inspire my creative spirit and explore oil color mixing for two large snow paintings. Some were based on plein air pastel paintings, others by photos or the skyscapes seen through the windows. It was a thrill to drive down the Hameau Farm Lane and be encircled by majestic snowy fields. I can already see how what I explored in personal painting will fuel my teachings!
This May and September will be my 25th annual Hameau Farm Studio Artist Retreats. I am thrilled to announce this and my 2022 Workshops for all mediums and levels. I welcome you to join me and experience the joys of plein air painting and connecting with your creative ideas.
