Join Us for the next stage of Next Stage

Welcome to the 2022 Next Stage Theatre Festival. We begin our 15th annual festival with four fantastic digital offerings, followed by digital drops of five more incredible shows in the coming days. Although we had hoped to be together in the Ada Slaight Hall to celebrate and reunite, we thank you for supporting the pivot as we prepared these remarkable online presentations.

Next Stage is returning and transforming the practice of digital theatre with fun, satirical and challenging shows with themes around identity, aging and desire. Starting now you can enjoy thoughtful and hilarious one-person shows with Stories of a Dish, and The Sunglasses Monologue on-demand. Tonight at 7:30pm, join us for the opening performance of The Complex, an immersive, audience-led experience where no two shows are the same.

There’s something for everyone in this exceptionally strong and eclectic mix of artists and shows; humour, music, innovative, vulnerability and all of them share strong and clear voices, who are ready for their next stage: an audience (that's you!).
