Make Valentine’s Day Cards

Celebrate Valentine's Day by creating a variety of 12 cards and treat/gift packages to share with friends and loved ones. All materials are provided, and participants are encouraged to bring favorite bling, stickers, ribbon, scissors, and coloring tools to fully customize your creations.




Introduction to Fly Tying

There is great satisfaction in catching a fish on a fly that you tied yourself. Designed for the novice fly-tyer, this four-week class will introduce equipment, materials, and types of flies. Participants will learn to tie fly patterns proven to be effective in Idaho’s waters. Discussion of basic entomology, reading the water, and how to get the hook out of your ear will be included. Class includes a fly-tying vise, hackle, pliers, scissors, bobbin, hair stacker, Uni-Thread, and materials to tie six different flies.

Bill goes deep. Through Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru and through Argentina and Chile. Australia and New Zealand. Turkey to China on the Silk Road. All on his motorcycle on the most remote roads possible. All with a broad curiosity about people, their cultures, and how we are simultaneously different and the same.

Join us for a colorful slideshow and discussion of Bill's experiences riding the back roads of the world and meeting people around the globe.

Sweet and Pun-ny Family Cardmaking Night

Craft 16 mini-Valentine's Day cards suitable for classmates, teachers, friends, family, and random acts of kindness. Samples and all materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring favorite stickers, adhesives, and coloring tools to customize your cards. Parental supervision and assistance required– inky fingers WILL happen.


Save the Date ~ Annual Heritage Night is March 8.
Stay tuned for additional events with visiting Hopi Elders.

A Creative District is a way to identify, promote and grow the creative people, products, and places of an area.

The Arts and Humanities Council is collaborating with the Idaho Commission on the Arts, the City of McCall, and other organizations to help pioneer the first creative district in Idaho.


If you are what we call a Creative~ a brewer, designer, editor, baker, performer, quilter... If artistry, crafting, or making describe what you do~ for a living, for a hobby, for love... If you inhabit a studio, shop, restaurant, or any creative space...

Scene Study with Shakespeare and Friends
Tuesdays
Ages 13–17


Strike a pose, flourish a couplet, swirl your cape, and polish your puns. We’ll dive into the language and storytelling of the master of stage and story. Along they way we’ll include other master playwrights. Learn to read, understand, and appreciate lines, artistry, and stagecraft with more ease and enjoyment.

Rad After School Scribblers, Creative Writing for Teens
Wednesdays
Ages 13–17

Break out your muse and dive into discovering and refining your unique voice. We'll engage in a wide array of writing prompts, styles, and genres so you can find and explore what works for you.


Friday Night (after school) Lights: Musical Theatre Audition, Technique and Preparation
Fridays
Ages 9–17

Prepare a musical theatre audition- learn to sing in an ensemble, increase vocal range, gain confidence, and sing joyfully. This class is recommended for all levels and all kids interested in Musical Theatre.
We are committed to providing access to the arts for children and affordable events for everyone. We also believe in paying artists and scholars and actively promote this ethic with other local and regional arts organizations. Need-based partial scholarships are available for most classes upon request. Please enquire at info@mccallarts.org.
