3pm-6pm, 4pm-7pm, and 5pm-8pm.
We are now offering our Python & R Fundamentals series in shorter 2-part series, with the introductory material available more often. This is in addition to our standard 4-part series that we will also continue to offer.

This peer-led series of workshops is designed by undergraduates in collaboration with the Library Data Services Program to help undergraduates learn python basics for data analysis and visualization. Developed from the Software Carpentry Curriculum, undergraduate Data Peers will lead workshops to introduce basic data manipulation and visualization with Python. Each workshop is designed to act as a starting point for learning concepts and will familiarize attendees with additional resources for getting help. Unless you are already familiar with Python, these workshops are best taken as a successive series.
This series of workshops is designed to help graduate and undergraduate students work with qualitative and textual data. Sessions include cleaning and coding qualitative data in MaxQDA and the open-source Taguette program, organizing and writing up research projects in Scrivener, and archiving qualitative data once a project has been completed. Each workshop is designed to act as a starting point for learning concepts and will familiarize attendees with additional resources for getting help.

WiDS Berkeley Conference
Since 2016, UC Berkeley has hosted its own WiDS event. In 2022, the WiDS Berkeley Conference will be hosted virtually during the week of March 7-11. On Tuesday, March 8, WiDS Berkeley will host a series of lightning talks (5-10 mins) that showcase completed and/or in progress data science projects led by UC Berkeley students.
