Rachel Blundy, Acting Head of AFP Fact Check (Asia Pacific), will talk about the launch of the news agency’s digital verification service in France and how it has grown from its inception in 2017 to become the leading global fact-checking organisation. Civic Tech: An Asian Perspective

Weiyu Zhang of the National University of Singapore will speak about how Civic Technology is attracting increasing attention from academia and how it has emerged as an interdisciplinary field spanning various disciplines such as social science, political science, and computer science. She will introduce three cases of civic tech development in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan. Details.
