Introducing Permaculture to Camp Earth Connection
Imagine living in a space where instead of just "taking" from the Earth we were able to both reap a bountiful harvest, while replenishing and restoring our natural resources. Imagine a world where "Sharing is Caring" - (words I recently overheard my grandson tell his cousin.)  For those of you new to Permaculture, Permaculture has three guiding ethics; People Care, Fair Share and Earth Care.  Or in the founder's Bill Mollison's words, Care of the Earth, Care of People, and Setting Limits to Population and Consumption. If you visit Camp Earth Connection this summer, ask about the permaculture projects in process.
Read my blog, to find out more about permaculture and my adventures in Costa Rica at Rancho Mastatal. If you visit Camp Earth Connection this summer you can check out some of the ways in which which we are implementing some of the Permaculture Ethics.  Next week I am off to another Permaculture Farm in Florida. I am looking forward to learning more about Natural Building, Composting, and Regenerative Agriculture.
With peace and gratitude,

 Eshay

CANINE ROMANCE
by Linda Spielman
It may seem like the wild creatures are all hunkered down, just doing their best to stay alive and wait out the cold season. But for wild canines there’s more going on than simple survival. This is mating season for foxes and coyotes, and they’re engaging in behaviors that will eventually lead to reproduction. Read more... on Linda's Blog and Website.

Taz

Taz has passed away this month.  He has been my long time canine companion for almost 15 years.  There is nothing he loved more then being in the woods and with his people.  He will be missed and in our memories.
