We spent our first week catching up and reflecting on work activities, experiences, wins and challenges faced in 2021. We brainstormed, aligned goals with objectives and charted a course for the activities of the year. We have hit the ground running in 2022 and kicked off on a number of projects.

Our team had an interesting working session with the team from  Behavioural insights team and Griot Studios to discuss preliminary findings from an ongoing research and identify the  emerging opportunities. 

Over the past 6 months, PPDC has been working alongside BIT and GS to identify opportunities that will improve on the current approaches PPDC is taking to tackle corruption, especially in the education sector of Nigeria. This support which is made possible by MacArthur Foundation will lead to more impactful interventions from PPDC and other partners working to curb corruption in Nigeria.

Human Rights Commission and PPDC Talk Data Protection

We paid a courtesy visit to the National Human Rights Commission to discuss possible partnership opportunities and initiatives to improve data protection and privacy practices in Nigeria.

Data protection and privacy are essential parts of our fundamental human rights that cannot be ignored.

PPDC Extends Open Contracting Support To Plateau State

It is no longer news that over the years, PPDC has supported several state governments in the development and implementation of a compliant Open Contracting Portal.

In the course of the month, we met with government and non-state members of the fiscal transparency working group of Plateau state to kickstart our support process.

We are excited to expand our partnerships with state governments to open up the procurement processes.

Celebration of Data Privacy Day 2022

In collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency and Google, the DISI team of PPDC carried out an "Adopt-A-School" workshop at Air  Force Girls Comprehensive School, Abuja.

We trained students on Data privacy, protection and  Digital Safety to commemorate Data Privacy Day.
