Valentine’s Day

This February, we look forward to spreading some LOVE around Elm School by safely sharing valentines with our classmates.  If students choose to participate, they will need to send valentines for their entire class on Monday, February 14th.  Please do not include any food or candy with the valentines as these items cannot be passed out and will be returned to purchasing families. We look forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day!

OutShine Bar Information for Families

Elm School PTO will be providing students a popsicle, to be eaten during the regularly scheduled lunch period. Students will remain socially distanced 6 feet or further. The ingredient label is located below.

Elm School Kindness Challenge

Elm School is celebrating Kindness Day which takes place on February 17th. Our generous PTO has purchased a book for each grade level to read on this date centered on kindness.

After reading, classrooms will create works of “HeART” with their students and display these hearts in the windows of their classroom to form an art gallery for families to see.

Additionally, we’d like to challenge families to complete a Kindness Challenge as a family at home. The Challenge can be found linked here.

If students complete the challenge and return the checklist, they will receive a Kindness Challenge magnet for their school locker.

Safety Reminders

Please do not drop children off in the road on 60th street. Parents may wait in the primary car line or park in a space along 60th street, however, double parking and letting your child off in the street is unsafe and is not allowed.

LAST DAY TODAY (Feb 6) to visit NOTHING BUNDT CAKES in LaGrange to help support Elm School PTO! For every purchase made during this week, 20% will be donated back to the PTO. Please note, this is for the LaGrange location only. Please make sure to mention the Elm School PTO when ordering over the phone, or include it in "Special Instructions" on the checkout page if ordering online. Also note that this is valid for PRE-ORDERS as well, so if you're thinking ahead to Valentine's Day or an upcoming birthday or event (even Easter or Mother's Day!), as long as you order within the timeframe, they will give us the donation! As always, thank you for your support!
