From the Principal

Dear Parkview Families,

We are excited to see you at Parent Teacher Conferences today and tomorrow. At school we have been working hard and we are excited to share with you all of the learning we have been doing together; and we are anxious for you to see what makes our classroom communities such a special place. Thank you to PTO for providing a meal for staff during conferences on Wednesday night. It is very appreciated!

Don't miss the display in the front hallway. Our most recent school-wide feature text was titled: WE ARE TOGETHER, by Britta Teckentrup. To celebrate our learning with this text, we made paper dolls to illustrate our school community and they are beautiful! Please notice the fine details that have gone into the unique design of each individual human that is represented for each piece of art. We are so proud of our beautiful school community and what makes each person individually special.

We are registering our kindergarten students for fall of 2022! If you have an incoming kindergarten student or if you have a neighbor that you can spread the word to, please pass the news that the registration information is on our website or you may call the school for information.

There is no school on Thursday, February 10 and Friday, February 11. We hope you enjoy a long weekend with your family!

In Partnership,
Nicole Garcia, Principal

Hats Off to Reading: Feb 18

February is I Love to Read Month. We will be doing some very simple activities to celebrate reading. Next week, on Friday, February 18 we will have Hats Off to Reading Day. Students may bring a hat to wear during reading time. Their teachers will explain how each classroom will celebrate the day.

Nurse's Office Donations Needed

Our health office is running low on pants and underwear for students to borrow when bathroom accidents happen. We are in need of underwear and especially pants in all sizes for girls and boys. Stretchy pants or sweatpants are a little more forgiving in finding clothing that fits, but any donations are welcome!

Band Concert Video Available

Our fifth grade band held its first concert in two years! They performed for our fourth grade students. The video of their performance can be seen on our YouTube channel.
