Christ    Community    Calling
Good Morning Church Family!

I’d like to share a thought today I read from a book by Adventist evangelist John Bradshaw.

"It’s not uncommon these days to hear about someone who is an “influencer.” Social media “influencers” encourage others to buy or use certain products. An “influencer” might say, “I just love this brand of exercise clothing!” and post that to his or her Instagram account, for example, and millions of people are “influenced.” Influencers might be celebrities, musicians, or just a regular kid who gained a social media following so big that she or he can “influence” huge numbers of people.

You know, God’s plan is that everyone is an influencer - maybe not online, but certainly in everyday life. Whether you realize it or not, you influence people all the time, sometimes positively, and maybe sometimes negatively. Attitudes, words, and actions all influence other people. How are you using your influence? When someone interacts with you, are they left feeling drawn towards God, or the opposite?

Jesus was an influencer - and it didn’t seem to matter who He was with. Sinners were influenced by His patience, His kindness, and His love. Religious leaders were influenced by His wisdom, His holiness, and His uncompromising life. When His path crossed those who were demon possessed, the influence He had on them was powerful.

Remember that you have influence. Your influence can be great with children or grandchildren. With the Uber driver or the FedEx driver, your influence might be smaller but it’s still there. Use the influence that you have to point people towards the God of heaven!"

“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:13-16‬ ‭[New English Translation]‬‬

Blessings!

Pastor Chris

Hello Church,

RMC has confirmed that Littleton Church will be staffed with both a Lead and Associate Pastor.  We are working through the process to fill these positions. The search committee has met twice, and we will continue to work through the hiring process in conjunction with the RMC until all positions are filled. Our current focus is on filling the Lead Pastor position, for which Pastor Chris is a top candidate.  Our church continues to be blessed by his leadership as our Interim Pastor. Please continue to keep this process in prayer and pray that the Lord staffs our church as He sees fit to do.  Any questions can be directed to Brodie at elder@littletonsdachurch.org.

Best,
Brodie
