The Clothing Bank receives global recognition
Acumen, along with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, recently launched the Corporate-Ready: How Corporations and Social Enterprises Do Business Together to Drive Impact report. The report highlights the top 100 global enterprises including TCB, that drive social impact, and how social enterprises bring inclusion, sustainability, and social impact into corporate value chains.
Introduction to Building your personal brand workshop
The University of Stellenbosch Business School are hosting a virtual workshop for all NGO’s and SMMEs on how to build your personal brand. The workshop will cover personal growth points such as outlining your goals, values, and beliefs and what it means to build a personal brand. Registration closes on the 11th of February.
JSE Sustainability Disclosure Guidance
The JSE have released their Sustainability and Climate Change Disclosure Guidance report, which aligns with the most influential global initiatives on sustainability and climate change disclosure including the GRI Sustainability reporting standards and the TCFD. This report serves as a guide on how to report on climate-related information.

Black Umbrellas Annual report 2021
The Report highlights the impact delivered by businesses that are in the Black Umbrellas incubation programme, acknowledging key milestones reached such as jobs created and preserved. Alumni have also been able to make their businesses more sustainable and highly competitive since being a part of the programme.

An update on the ISSB at COP26

The formation of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) was announced at the recent COP26 summit, which will develop comprehensive global baseline of high-quality sustainability disclosure standards to meet investors’ information needs. A live panel discussion from COP was held on the topic of addressing climate change and the announcement of the ISSB.
