chuthis. Movement Intensive
July 18-23, 2022
We are so excited to share with you the details of chuthis. Movement Intensive (CTMI) 2022, which will be held in Houston, TX from July 18-23, 2022. This year, we are once again inviting two groups of dancers, ages 13 & up, to join us. Dancers will be accepted by audition only. We will be holding two live auditions via Zoom in addition to accepting video submissions.
Audition Dates
Live Audition #1: Sunday, February 27th @ 10am PST (via Zoom)
Live Audition #2: Saturday, March 12th @ 10am PST (via Zoom)
Video Submission Deadline: Friday, March 4th @ 11:45pm PST
CTMI is training program focused on personal movement research and development. This training program aims to bring awareness to our movement patterns and ignite creativity through individual and communal research. Our goal is to foster an intimate connection with the participants to further their artistic growth and development.

World Premiere — A Call for Soft Landings
Peter is currently choreographing a brand new work for the renowned Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York City, a process he began before the pandemic hit in 2020. Finally, this new work, entitled A Call for Soft Landings, will premiere today, February 12th, at the Northrop Theater in Minneapolis, MN! This premiere is extra special as it has been delayed almost a full two years! Please join us in wishing the team a huge 'toi, toi, toi!'
If you happen to be in NYC this summer, you can also catch the work at the Joyce Theater June 14th-19th, 2022!

recap: chuthis. Perspectives — Scottsdale, AZ
We were thrilled to bring chuthis. Perspectives back to Arizona! Dance Connection in Scottsdale, AZ, welcomed Peter Chu and chuthis. Company Member Jenni Gordon into their lovely studio last weekend. Peter & Jenni shared Modern, Qi Gong, chuthis. Ideas, and chuthis. Repertoire with the dancers. It was a special weekend shared with dancers that chuthis. has had the pleasure of working with for a long time. We were moved by the growth and openness of the dancers!
Thank you to Dance Connection and Lori Johnson for having us! We have cherished our time in Scottsdale. Dancers - keep working hard and riding the wave of your passion for dance.
