We’re one step closer to building a new Aquatic and Leisure Centre for our community. The creation of a new aquatic and leisure centre which is contemporary, accessible for all, and meets current standards is a significant project and investment for Council.
We've been searching for suitable sites and have released the independent findings of the detailed site investigations of our three shortlisted locations. The highest ranked site identified is on Governor Road in Mordialloc.

Local Community Access Grants Program (LCAGP)
Local Community Access Grants Program (LCAGP) funds community organisations and neighbourhood houses to deliver activities that:
reduce COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and hesitancy
remove practical barriers to accessing vaccines
support increased uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine amongst priority groups
Community organisations and neighbourhood houses can apply for funding that promotes and increases vaccine confidence through community engagement and improves access by removing practical barriers to COVID-19 vaccinations. Projects need to support one or more priority groups outlined in the program guidelines.
Carer Support Program for people from CALD background
Carer Support Program is available to all carers from CALD background who are supporting people with a disability, mental illness, dementia or who are frail aged living in City of Kingston.
Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre (SMRC) provides short term respite services, counselling, weekly and monthly seminars and workshops regarding carer’s health and wellbeing, monthly outings and individual referrals and support based on clients' needs.

Online support group for women victim of family violence
Free online support group for women who have been impacted by family violence is being delivered by Relationships Australia.In this group there will be a chance to talk about different experiences and learn from others and from educational material about the following topics:
Developing/building on strategies for strengthening resilience
Rebuilding or establishing trust in your family
Understanding family violence and its impacts on women and their children
Strategies to create or re-establish appropriate parent/child relationships
Skills to manage and support children’s behaviors and emotions
Positive and strengths-based approaches to moving forwards.
